Jennifer Aniston, 49, and Justin Theroux, 46, officially announced their separation in a statement to USWeekly on Thursday 15th.
“In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation. This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year, we are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship. Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly. Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative. Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another.”
Aniston and Theroux first met in 2007 on the set of the Tropic Thunder, co-wrote by Justin Theroux and Ben Stiller. The two ex-lovebirds started dating in May 2011, engaged in 2012 and tied the knot in simple nuptial ceremony in 2015. Unfortunately, the couple have called it quit this year, after rumours began to spread on potential break up. The couple have been last seen together in December 2017 during a vacation in Mexico.
The Friends actress was also spotted celebrating her 49th birthday on February 11th without her husband, surrounded by Courtney Cox and manager Aleen Keshishian.
